Powerful Lyrics Promoting Peace Over Violence: Presenting “R.I.P” by Suli Breaks

16 Aug

Hello YBP fans! There are definitely more videos to come featuring the poetry of black poets from across the nation and even across the globe. Your submission could be next. Thank you for your patience in the back-to-school transition.

With my education, experience, and training in poetry, this particular spoken word video that I am sharing with you today struck me as phenomenal. Turning three letters into a powerful and aesthetically pleasing performance is quite impressive. Suli Breaks shared this video with me via YouTube, and I had to share it with you in the spirit of YBP — promoting black poets and bringing spoken word to the center of pop culture. I am sure you will enjoy this young artist’s genius talent as he promotes peace over violence.

We turnin’ this world inside out, ya’ll.
